Examples of therapeutic modalities include: hot-packs, cold-packs, whirlpools, TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation), ultrasound, traction, electrical stimulation, and joint and spine mobilization/manipulation that can help strengthen, relax, and heal muscles and expedite recovery in the orthopedic setting.
