Summary

"Daddy's Invisible Ouchy" invites readers into the world of Beth, an insightful eight-year-old determined to help her father heal from the invisible wounds of PTSD. With the support of her mother and her stuffed animal companions, Beth embarks on a journey of understanding and love, offering hope to families impacted by trauma.

Written in lyrical poetry and featuring the expressive illustrations of Lana Lee, this touching tale is informed by the author's personal experiences with PTSD and professional research conducted at the National Center for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. Beyond its heartfelt narrative, the book advocates for greater recognition of PTSD's profound impact, including a call to honor Veterans with chronic PTSD by awarding the Purple Heart.

"Daddy's Invisible Ouchy" is a testament to the resilience of families and a beacon of hope for those seeking healing and connection in the face of life's invisible battles.
