Summary

With more and more data in the world, the future will belong to those who can analyze it. This book shows you that data analysis isn't necessarily about the tools you use, but how you think about data and the results you want to achieve with it.Author Philipp Janert teaches you how to approach data analysis problems and extract all the information available from your data. He covers univariate data, data in multiple dimensions, time series data, graphical techniques, data mining, machine learning, and many other topics. But Real World Data Analysis isn't just about academic topics: it's the only book on data that stresses the seat-of-the-pants knowledge that leads you to the right approach in the first place. There are lots of people who can apply a formula. Janert shows you how to look at a result and know whether it's meaningful.
