Summary

Multi-millionaire Mitchell Patrick Sullivan's life is structured around women and Glenfiddich on the rocks. Following his daily afternoon binge, he staggers into a Dodge Ram while crossing a busy Tampa, Florida, thoroughfare. He loses the encounter and ends up hospitalized and comatose. While comatose, he has an out-of-body experience wherein he watches helplessly as his lawyer and financial advisor plots with a probate judge to steal his fortune and arrange his accidental demise. Four friends learn of the plot to kill him and manage to protect him from the lawyer and three ex-con assassins until the very end. Mitchell's problems are compounded throughout by the realization that his lifestyle has doomed him to hell if his feeding tube is pulled or if other means are chosen for his disposal. He struggles with his atheistic learnings-not quite believing in a hereafter while fearing the consequences of disbelief. There could very well be a hell waiting for him.

Author Biography

Following a career in higher education and a stint as manager of communications for a Tampa, Florida firm, Wiland began his career as a novelist, which has produced five novels to date. An Ohio native, Wiland currently resides with his wife Barbara in Lakeland, Florida.
