Author Biography

James Welch (1940-û2003) is the author of five novels, including Fools Crow, which won the American Book Award and the Los Angeles Times Book Award. He also wrote one work of nonfiction, Killing Custer, and a collection of poems, Riding the Earthboy 40. He lived in Missoula, Montana.
