Democratic Network Governance in Europe aims to assess the recent experiences with governance in and through interactive networks at local, national and transnational levels.

Author Biography

MARTIN MARCUSSEN is Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at Copenhagen University, Denmark. His books include Ideas and Elites: The Social Construction of Economic and Monetary Union (2000) and OECD and the Idea Game: Game Over? (2002). He is currently writing a book about the transnational central bank community.

JACOB TORFING is Professor of Politics at Roskilde University, Denmark. He is currently working on discourse theory, welfare reforms and democratic network governance. His books include New Theories of Discourse (1999) and Politics, Regulation and the Modern Welfare State (1995). He is Director of the Centre for Democratic Network Governance and a member of the Danish Social Research Council.
