Author Biography

Kristian Stokke is Professor of Human Geography at the University of Oslo, Norway. He specialises in movement politics, democratisation and conflict transformation in South and Southeast Asia. Olle Törnquist is Professor of Political Science at the University of Oslo, Norway. His field of expertise includes theories of politics and development in the third world, radical politics, and problems of democratisation with an empirical focus on South and East Asia.
