MARTIN RHODES is Professor of Comparative Political Economy, University of Denver, Colorado. He was previously Professor of Public Policy at the European University Institute, Florence, Italy.

ULRICH SEDELMEIER is Senior Lecturer in International Relations at the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK.
