After historical novels she wrote her first thriller, followed by 70 more. Her most popular hero is Miss Silver, who takes the leading part in 31 novels. As a charming old lady with fantastic skills, she helps Scotland Yard with criminal cases and become one of the most popular role models for Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple.
