Author Biography

Shirley Hughes, a two-time recipient of the Kate Greenaway Medal, has written and/or illustrated more than two hundred books for children. With Candlewick, she is the author-illustrator of the picture books Don’t Want to Go! and Bobbo Goes to School and the author of the novel Hero on a Bicycle. She lives in London.

Clara Vulliamy began her career illustrating for newspapers and magazines, but switched to illustrating children’s books after having children of her own. She lives in England.
