Author Biography

KATHARINE GOODLAND is Assistant Professor of English at the City University of New York’s College of Staten Island, USA, where she teaches courses in medieval and early modern culture and early drama, including Shakespeare. She is on the editorial board of the Shakespeare Bulletin and the Executive Board of the Columbia Shakespeare Seminar. She is the author of Female Mourning and Tragedy in Medieval and Renaissance English Drama (Ashgate, 2006). Her articles have appeared in Medieval and Renaissance Drama in England, The Journal of Literature and the Arts, and Shakespeare Bulletin.

JOHN O'CONNOR is a freelance writer and part-time lecturer for the Oxford University Department of Continuing Education, UK. He is the editor of the new Longman Shakespeare series and author of the Cambridge University Press Language of Media and the Moving Image student and teacher books.
