Summary

This book documents the significant changes in the health situation in Sub-Saharan Africa during the past few decades. The authors discover that although there have been advances made as a result of specific intervention from health services, higher educational levels, the impact of better nutrition, and an improved water supply, the progress has not been uniform throughout the region.
