Author Biography

Stephen Spinelli, Jr., Ph.D. (Philadelphia, PA) is President of Philadelphia University. He has led the university in introducing a new model for professional university education, Nexus Learning; and in launching the innovative College of Design, Engineering and Commerce based on transdisciplinary, active, real-world learning infused with the liberal arts. Spinelli held leadership positions at Babson College, including vice provost for entrepreneurship and global management; entrepreneurship division chair; and director, Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship. He helped pioneer key Babson initiatives including the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor. He co-authored New Venture Creation, 8E.
