Author Biography

Peter Batty is a television writer, director, and producer specializing in historical programs. He made a five-part documentary series based on Divided Union. Peter J. Parish (1929–2002) was a distinguished historian and the author of The American Civil War, The North and the Nation in the Era of the Civil War, and Slavery: History and Historians.
