Author Biography

Newbery Medalist Cynthia Rylant has written more than forty books for children and young adults, including Missing May; Something Permanent; the Henry and Mudge series; and The Dreamer. She has also written a series of board books, The Everyday Books, which she illustrated in collage. Dog Heaven is her debut as a picture-book painter. A West Virginia native, Cynthia Rylant is presently living in an old green house in Oregon with her son, Nate, and four happy pets.
