Summary

One minute, Reggie Reeves and his best friend Darien Coates are in the Reeves' basement experimenting with a new computer program; the next minute, they find themselves facing a giant spider in a world that's definitely not their own. Eighteen-year-old Reggie has been working on this program for five months. When completed, it was supposed to allow a person to be able to see what a perfect future world would be if they were in charge. When the computer explodes, the two buddies find themselves in the land of Gasino, where they are not welcome. King Reigan's first instinct is to execute the two intruders to his land. But, Darien, who has a penchant for gambling, bets their lives in order to save them. If he and Reggie can solve the mysterious murder of the king's niece, they will be allowed to live. If they do not find the culprit in five days, they will be put to death. Endowed with special powers, Reggie, Darien, and a team of guides are dispatched into this unique and foreign land of arachnid-people to catch a murderer and to save their lives.

The ominous marching played out in the background like a metronome as the cyborgs came closer and closer, it was only a matter of time before they rounded the final corner and appeared before Reggie. But that wasn't what he was worried about.
The metallic wing beats of Spade-Zeta C, 25 came through the marching, quietly at first but the more Reggie focused on them, the more they became prominent in his mind. Zeta landed on the ground before him gracefully, as if he had just fallen out of the sky like a leaf and landed on the ground by floating back and forth in the breeze.
"Are you going to kill me now?" Reggie asked as he looked into Zeta's cold and glowing cyborg eyes.
"Killing you would be pointless," Zeta replied, "it would waste the time that I've put in this whole morning. I figure shooting out your kneecaps so you can't run away would be sufficient enough."
Zeta's arms converted into machine guns and he aimed them at Reggie's legs. "Any last words?"
Reggie thumbed over the lighter in his hands as he stared into the gun barrels. He was terrified, he had literally never been so afraid in his whole life. But he wouldn't run, he couldn't. Not anymore.
"I wish I could think of something more original, but..." Reggie squeezed down on the rubber part of the lighter and the flames jumped forward. "Go to hell!"
Zeta opened fire as the flames shot out all around him.
