Author Biography

J.E.Moreus is Joseph Eric Moreus, a native New Yorker now living in Southern California. He lives with his two German Shepherd-mix pound puppies who are his only "children".Joe has been teaching high school and middle school for the past 17 years and enjoys relating to his students as if they are his children. He loves teaching and believes his interaction with adolescents keeps him young at heart.Joe holds a bachelor's degree in English literature and a Master's Degree in Education. He is currently teaching in Long Beach, California, teaching English language and mathematics.Joe enjoys scuba diving in tropical beauty spots and reading spiritual materials from various traditions, interjecting these philosophies into his writings. Many of his stories were written while living in a 12 foot trailer next to a frog pond some years ago. He recently dusted off these manuscripts and rewrote them for publication.Joe's writing was heavily influenced by J.R.R. Tolkein, C.S. Lewis, Lewis Carrol, Roald Dahl, Arnold Lobel, Maurice Sendak, Aesop, Sufist teaching stories, and Biblical parables.He continues to write new material and aspires to retire writing personal prose vignettes that are both poignant and humorous.
