Author Biography

Warren Treadgold is National Endowment for the Humanities Professor of Byzantine Studies at Saint Louis University, USA, and author of many books and articles on Byzantine history and literature, including A History of the Byzantine State and Society (1997) and A Concise History of Byzantium (2001).
