Author Biography

Judy Jones Tisdale, Ph.D., is an Adjunct Associate Professor and Associate Director of the Management Communication Program at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School. She teaches oral and written management communication for the undergraduate and M.B.A. programs, and she is the director of the Kenan-Flagler Business Communication Center. Additionally, Judy is a member of UNC's Graduate Faculty and teaches presentation courses for graduate students across all disciplines at UNC-Chapel Hill. A former vice president with NationsBank (now Bank of America), Judy joined the Kenan-Flagler faculty in August 1998 after 13 years in sales and sales management in Bank of America's consumer/small business division. She earned her B.A. in English and Spanish from High Point University, her M.A. in English from Appalachian State University, and her Ph.D. in English from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her current research, presentations, and publications involve academic service-learning, business presentations, and accounting communication.
