Author Biography

Born in England, Vanessa Betts has lived and worked overseas for much of the last 14 years, more than 3 of which have been spent in Egypt. She first arrived as an English teacher in 2000 and intended to stay for 3 months, but it turned out that Cairo needed rather longer than that. Subsequent jobs as a writer and editor for international publications and websites have been interspersed with travels in Africa, Australia and Southeast Asia.
