Lena es madre soltera, vive bajo el auspicio de los servicios sociales y de un modesto empleo, y le parece que la vida siempre va cuesta arriba. Tom, su hijo, presenta serios problemas de comportamiento, por lo que es diagnosticado con TDAH y sometido a tratamiento médico.
Pese al trastorno de Tom, la precariedad salarial, la incomprensión institucional y la soledad emocional, todo parece ir mejorando para ambos. Sin embargo, luego de una discusión entre madre e hijo, Tom se cae, o se deja caer, del auto en marcha. Lena no comprende los motivos; la culpa parece hundirla, y se siente más sola que nunca. Ahora, tendrá que afrontar las consecuencias para alcanzar el bienestar de ambos.

A story about a single mother and her son with ADD.
Lena is Tom’s mother. Theirs is a relationship plagued with disappointments and resentments. She’s a single mother who greatly depends on social security; he is a boy who has been diagnosed with problems coming from Attention Deficit Disorder and hyperactivity. The lack of a father figure plays a big part in their rocky relationship filled with mutual grudges.
Lena and Tom have a big fight and the boy falls, perhaps on purpose, out of a moving car. While Tom recovers from his wounds in the hospital, Lena wants to help him with his attention problems but without the help of any medical treatment. When the school principal realizes this, she charges her with alleged negligence. Against everyone’s will, Lena takes her boy in search of his father.
