Summary

The book ;Electrical Methods of Water Processing ; is concerned with approaches to treating water sources that require removal of unwanted or dissolved substances.  In particular, it is about various methods for removing dissolved ionic materials.    There are numerous methods for accomplishing this end, and the book reviews most of them in some depth.  The primary concern of this book is the elimination of the use of chemical reagents to bodies of water to make them potable, or at least usable for most applications.  The control of pH as well as water composition can all be accomplished electrically, with no addition of foreign substances to the water supply.  As population increases and our general style of living standards increase, the importance of available and useable water is becoming acute.

Author Biography

Ralph Zito, PhD, has been working in the field of electrical energy for over 30 years. With more than 40 patents and 60 papers to his credit, his resume is a virtual who's who of energy companies, such as GE, Westinghouse, and Sylvania, to name a few. He has taught at the Carnegie Institute, where he obtained his doctorate, and done research at New York University, where he received his baccalaureate.
