Author Biography


Julia Palca practises all aspects of employment law, but concentrates on wrongful and unfair dismissal and discrimination issues as well as industrial relations issues. She is respected in employment and media law circles, where she acts for media, broadcasters and financial companies, and for senior executives. Julia also specialises in partnership law, representing individual partners and partnerships. She is a member of Olswang's Partnerships and Professional Practices Group.
Julia is a part time Employment Tribunal Chairman, and is joint author of Employment Law Checklists (3rd Edition, OUP, 2004), Employee Competition: Covenants, Confidentiality, and Garden Leave, (ed.) Paul Goulding, (OUP, 2007) and of Blackstone's Employment Law Practice, (ed.) John Bowers, (3rd Edition, OUP, 2008). Julia is a trustee of Macmillan Cancer Support and special advisor to the Prison Reform Trust.
Catherine Taylor works on both contentious and non-contentious employment issues and has specific expertise in High Court litigation (especially bonus and employee competition disputes) European issues, and Data Protection.
Catherine is joint author of Employment Law Checklists (3rd Edition, published by OUP 2004), Employee Competition: Covenants, Confidentiality, and Garden Leave, (ed.) Paul Goulding, (OUP, 2007) and of Blackstone's Employment Law Practice, (ed.) John Bowers, (3rd Edition, OUP, 2008).
