Summary

Enjoying the Native American-Style Flute contains everything a flutist needs to know to thoroughly enjoy an amazing instrument that is rapidly growing in popularity throughout the United States and other parts of the world. Details not available in other books on playing, making, and caring for the flute, along with references to literature, CDs, videos, internet sites, and over 300 companies will assist both beginners and accomplished flutists. Dr. Hermann's writing and explanations are easily understood. Henry R. Hermann became interested in the Native American-style flute because of its potential for alleviating stress and its haunting sounds. It was through connections with the International Native American Flute Association, Central Florida Flute Circle, national flute events, and discussions with other flutists that he realized the need for a book like Enjoying the Native American-Style Flute.
