Author Biography

Andrew Steinmann is Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Theology and Hebrew at Concordia University Chicago where he taught from 2001 to 2023. He holds a B.S. from the University of Cincinnati, a M.Div. from Concordia Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in Near Eastern Studies from the University of Michigan. He has served as a parish pastor, a Bible translator, a nursing home chaplain and as professor at several institutions. Dr. Steinmann is the author of twenty books, including From Abraham to Paul: A Biblical Chronology and commentaries on Genesis, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, Ezra and Nehemiah, Proverbs, and Daniel.
