Author Biography

Rebecca Sive is president of the Sive Group, Inc., a public affairs strategy company. She has held numerous public positions, including commissioner of the Illinois Human Rights Commission. After cofounding the Midwest Women’s Center, she went on to assist many groundbreaking political women as an adviser and fund-raiser, including Geraldine Ferraro and U.S. senators Barbara Mikulski, Mary Landrieu, Debbie Stabenow, and Amy Klobuchar. In addition, she has developed and led many programs to increase women's visibility and influence in American public life. She lives in Chicago. Anna Eleanor Roosevelt is the granddaughter of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt. She is the president and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Northern New England and chairs the Roosevelt Institute, a nonprofit organization carrying forward the legacy and values of her grandparents. She has a long history of volunteer service on the boards of the March of Dimes, Roosevelt University, Spelman College, and the Foundation for the National Archives, and is currently a member of the board of directors for the Maine Community Foundation and NetImpact. She lives in Portland, Maine.
