Author Biography

Nancy B. Miller, Ph.D., M.S.W., Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences, UCLA, and private psychotherapist and consultant, Los Angeles She is an active member of the Barrier Free Program at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, she provides tours for adults and children with disabilities. Catherine C. Sammons, Ph.D., M.S.W., Assistant Clinical Professor, Neuropsychiatric Institute and Hospital, and Social Work Training Coordinator, University Affiliated Program, UCLA Dr. Sammons directs a statewide program, the California Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Center. Her psychotherapy and consulting practice is located in West Los Angeles. After earning her Master of Social Welfare degree from the UCLA School of Social Welfare, Dr. Sammons held clinical social work positions in inpatient child psychiatry and at the UCLA Clinical Research Center for the Study of Childhood Psychosis. Dr. Sammons holds a doctorate from UCLA's Anderson School of Management, with a specialization in organization design and development.
