Summary

The faerie Prince Rillian is the only son of the great Finnvarra of the Ailil Forest who resides over Ireland and he is anything but impressed when his father tells him he is going south to Kerry to aid a poor farmer and his daughter. Going on another mission is not what the Faerie Prince has in mind when he returns from one sour mission as Rillian does not admire the human race and he would rather stay with his friends and Laoise the object of his affection. His mission is to help the poor farmer, Joseph Duff and to find a husband for his beautiful daughter Megan before he can return and announce his engagement to Laoise. And Rillian is skeptical of the reports of Megan's beauty totally convinced that no human could have any great beauty. He sets off from the Ailil forest early one morning with his enchanted guitar Aoibheann and travels on the wind to the south of Ireland. However finding a husband for this lovely girl is not an easy task as something unthinkable to a faerie begins to happen. Prince Rillian finds himself strongly attracted to this very beautiful human girl however convinced that there cannot be any more to her than her physical beauty. This proves to be his most challenging mission bringing everything he believes under the spotlight. The tale is told with Irish humour and enchantment as Rillian faces the choice of going against everything he has always believed.
