Author Biography

Since the successful debut of his creator-owned comic, OUR LOVE IS REAL, Sam Humphries has been a rising star in the comic industry. In addition to writing UNCANNY X-FORCE, THE ULTIMATES and JOHN CARTER: GODS OF MARS for Marvel, Sam writes two series for BOOM! Studios: FANBOYS VS. ZOMBIES and the sci-fi epic HIGHER EARTH. Writer and filmmaker Shane Houghton is best known for his critically acclaimed independent comic series about an adventurous bear-riding cowboy entitled REED GUNTHER. His video work has won various awards, including Best Family Fright Film, and has been shown in theaters in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto, and his home state of Michigan. Jerry Gaylord is a Maryland-based artist with a vibrant, kinetic style.
