Fenton Art Glass Company began producing Hobnail items in several shapes as special orders for other companies during the 1930s. The pattern seemed popular, so Hobnail was introduced into the Fenton general line in opalescent colors in 1940. Since that time Hobnail has been made in many colors and shapes. To date, there has been no single reference that combines all of Fenton's Hobnail production - until now!
