Ranging in subject matter from the physical life and composition of the altarpiece itself, to Fernando Gallego, the Hispano-Flemish tradition in Spain and millennialism in late fifteenth-century Castile, these essays highlight individual techniques and workshop practices in the context of the cosmopolitan communities of a gothic city.
