Summary

This Highly Anticipated Sequel to the bestselling Fires in the Bathroom: Advice to Teachers from High School Students provides a much-needed window into the often frustrating and bewildering world of students in grades five through eight. Recognizing the middle school years as a complex and contradictory period-kids want to be seen as mature but still act like children; they want to be treated fairly but want exceptions when they make mistakes-Cushman and Rogers give voice to these children in transition, letting them speak openly and honestly about the issues they care about in the classroom and at home. Loaded with insights into how to make classrooms more effective and ways to build stronger relationships between adults and adolescents, Fires in the Middle School Bathroom is an invaluable resource for parents and teachers alike.
