Summary

The journey begins when Brae, a young slave boy, dares to flee the City of Bondage under the guidance of The Messenger, an emissary sent by the Great King Immon to assist him in his journey to the Other Kingdom, home of the Great King. The boy will encounter many difficulties along the way. He will be under the threat of attack from Dagog, Prince of the Darkness and his associates who dwell in Middle Cloud but are actively seeking the destruction of all who live in the Kingdom of Adawm. Sometimes he will suffer because he has incurred the hatred of Dagog by setting sail in the Good Ship Seeking under the authority of Addar. At other times he suffers because of his own poor decisions. At all times, The Messenger is present, though often unseen by the boy. The Messengers assistants Grace, and Mercy, Regret and yes, even Suffering, make their presence known to the boy at the point of his deepest need. Somewhere along the way the boy becomes a man and makes the ultimate sacrifice in his service to the Great King who has captured his heart and his allegiance.
