It provides a readable introduction to the subject, presenting information on key demographic, geographic, household and labour market differences between the main ethnic and religious groups; considering factors that contribute to these differences; and illustrating changes between 1991 and 2001. It is aimed at a wide audience including policy makers, researchers, students and members of the general public. Book jacket.
