Author Biography

Jessica Loy is an accomplished painter and graphic designer. She is also a professor at the College of Saint Rose, where she teaches graphic design. In her free time, Ms. Loy and her children volunteer at local wildlife centers. As for her interest in writing this book the author says, “I feel an urgency to get children involved in protecting our environment by giving them tools to explore the natural world around them.” Ms. Loy lives with her family in upstate New York. This is her first book for young readers.
