Author Biography

Galina Hale is a senior economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Prior to her career with the Federal Reserve, she taught at Yale University Economics Department. Galina holds a Ph.D. in economics from UC Berkeley. She was born in Moscow, Russia. Born and raised in Inner Mongolia, China, Cheryl Xiaoning Long holds a Ph.D. in economics from Washington University in St. Louis. She is currently an associate professor of economics and the director of Asian Studies at Colgate University.
