Summary

Within the woods of Fromby Forest there is an almost unseen, but lively neighborhood of animal families. One little fellow, Frank Fox, couldn’t see the point of sitting in class every day. He could barely tolerate his time in school because he would rather be out having an exciting adventure with his three best friends—Sebastian, a jumpy squirrel; his best friend, Ralph, a lumbering raccoon; and a nervous little rabbit named Cotton.

He had been warned many times to stay away from the cottage outside of his forest home, but Frank didn’t believe there really was any risk or danger. In fact, he didn’t think about anything other than the enticing scent of Mrs. Feathermaster’s freshly baked pies. Lucky for him, she was more gentle than most humans when he got caught. Through this adventure, Frank learns to appreciate the valuable lessons he was being taught in school more than ever.
