Author Biography

Burton L. Visotzky holds the Nathan and Janet Appleman Chair in Midrash and Interreligious Studies at the Jewish Theological Seminary. He is also Adjunct Professor of Biblical Studies at Union Theological Seminary in New York. David E. Fishman is associate professor of Jewish history at the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City and senior research associate at the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research.
