Summary

Harlan Wien is 83 years old and has lived most of the last 40 years in and around the Perham, Minnesota area in Ottertail County, lakes country as it is called. He owns a home on Big Pine Lake, one of 1000 lakes in our country. He has three sons and two daughters and many grandchildren. In his own words he describes writing this book: "One day I decided to write down on a piece of paper the story about my life. I wrote it like I was telling it to someone, so it was easy for me. You see, I believe in God, my family, my country and myself." "I have taken thousands of pictures as I carried a camera at all times, and pictures speak louder than words."
