Summary

Fugue State represents the first all-new work by Poet Bill Berkson -- a founding member of the New York school of poets and artists -- in over a decade. As always, these poems risk seismic upheavals along the fault line of language's slippery edge. A bold follow up to last year's Serenade, a collaboration with the late artist Joe Brainerd, by the author of Lush Life, and Saturday Night.
