Anne Gutman is the writer and designer of the <i>Misadventures of Gaspard and Lisa</i> series. Her husband, Georg Hallensleben, the illustrator of the series, is also the illustrator of the award-winning picture books and <i>If the Moon Could Talk</i> and <i>The Night Worker</i>, both written by Kate Banks.
