Summary

This book examines the impact of globalization on language in contact, including the study of linkages between the global and local, and transnational and situated communication. James Collins is Professor of Anthropology at SUNY, Albany, USA. Stef Slembrouck is Professor of English Linguistics and Discourse Analysis in the Department of English, Ghent University, Belgium. Mike Baynham is Professor TESOL in the School of Education, University of Leeds, UK.
