Summary

The premier scholar of globalization studies, Manfred B. Steger, has brought together here the 'œgreatest hits' of the field since it emerged in the 1980s. In addition to carefully selecting and editing twenty of the most influential pieces on globalization out of a vast repertoire of writing, Steger provides an original and insightful introduction that spotlights the gist of these gems while showing how they build on one another thematically. Manageable in length and price, this 'œtop 20' list is perfect for all readers wanting to know how globalization has evolved and the way in which it serves as a backdrop to the current global economic crisis.
