Summary

Acropolis Books is proud to present a new eleven book series compiled from the 1971-1981 monthly letters of Joel S. Goldsmith. The material in these books represents the monthly letters which were compiled from the Author's inexhaustible tape recorded lectures by his editor, which were then sent out to students around the world. Each of these volumes develops the key themes and principles of the spiritual life. We consider these interrelated volumes to be a timely and dynamic addition to our library of Joel Goldsmith books. In the 8th book of the Series, God Formed Us For His Glory, Joel Goldsmith describes the process required to live the spiritual life at a deeper level. In the chapter "The Inner Meaning of Living the Spiritual Life" he continues the emphasizes on the necessity of changing our consciousness and the fact that the spiritual life is a practical one. He says "...if we perform the everyday duties that are given us to do, if we in our prayers, and communion turn to the Father within in the sense of "Reveal the plan for me; reveal my purpose in life," while continuing to do what we are now doing and yet praying an inner prayer for guidance, the way will open to lead us out of what we are doing into what we should be doing." Continuing this theme, he states in the eleventh chapter, "An important part of our work is releasing God in the sense of realizing that we do not need God for anything except for God to be God, which God always is. Reading this book should be a truly liberating experience.
