Author Biography

Jim Shannon has preached in churches for over fifty years, having served almost forty years in his last ministry in St. Petersburg, Florida. He and his wife Barbara, thirty years a school teacher, have three children - Melissa, Tony and Brett and six grandchildren. Jim grew up in Columbia, Tennessee and still is fond of mules as Columbia hosts Mule Day every year. Jim and Barbara have two sons in law enforcement and a daughter who has coached high school basketball and has been a church office manager for over twenty years. So Jim, Barbara and the children have seen almost every side of life with all the good and bad the world offers. Because of his deep faith, Jim has found enjoyment and fulfillment in looking at the positive side of life. His previous book KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE DONUT shares with the reader this positive side of life. GOOF ON THE ROOF takes the reader even further to the view of life that is on a higher level, a spiritual level.
