Author Biography

Thomas Pynchon is the author of five novels, including The Crying of Lot 49 and Mason & Dixon. In addition to a National Book Award, he has received the William Dean Howells Award of the American Academy of Arts and Letters for -ôthe best novel of the decade-ö for Gravity-'s Rainbow.

Frank Miller is the author and illustrator of Sin City and the 1986 Batman comic The Dark Knight Returns, which is regarded as a milestone in the superhero genre.
