Summary

Author Biography

Tom Chapman was born in Boston in 1917 and raised in New York, this humor writer's first memories take us to Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, midtown Manhattan and Riverside Drive when the Great Depression hit. Following a tour as Air Force navigator during World War Two, Tom went into teaching ballroom, eventually becoming a legend in the industry. After thirty five years with the Arthur Murray Organization this now international businessman, in addition to his U.S. holdings, had six major companies operating in England and was Regional Director for the A.M. schools in the United Kingdom, Australia and South Africa. In 1983, while in London he founded T.C. Dance Club International, now headquartered at his school in Kansas City, the largest and most luxurious of its kind.
