Author Biography

Jane Frank is the managing director of Worlds of Wonder, She is the author of numerous articles on illustration art, artists and collecting. The holder of a PhD in Linguistics from Georgetown University, and an MBA in Marketing, she lectures as well as pursuing research interests in business, communications, and language. Jane has also taught at the University of Maryland, American University, Howard University and Montgomery College. She was the author of The Art of Richard Powers (2001), which was shortlisted for a Hugo Award Howard Frank, in the best tradition of Science Fiction, lives in two worlds. In one, he has been a successful entrepreneur and business executive, a world-class information technologist, and leading electrical engineering, computer sciences and business professor, and is currently Dean of the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. In his other world, he is a major collector of science fiction books and magazines, and with his wife, a major collector of science fiction and fantasy art. He is a member of ASFA, the Society of Illustrators, numerous business and technical professional organizations and a frequent speaker at regional and world science fiction and fantasy conventions
