This is the first book ever published about thai day, and features the now-immortalized image, and many more shots including Milt Hinton and Art Kane, and even Dizzy Gillespie. Great Jazz Day in Harlem includes essays on how the famous picture came to be and, in both narrative form and in the words of some of the musicians present, what exactly happened on that famous day in jazz history.
