Summary

Greetings from E Street is the only collective biography of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band--one of the world's best loved bands--written with its members' participation by a longtime intimate. In a winning interactive format reminiscent of Lennon Legend, it is packed with over 200 photos, rare and never-before-seen memorabilia, little-known facts and new stories.Rock journalist Bob Santelli begins the tale in 1960s New Jersey with the teen bands whose members would go on to work with Bruce. He then follows the perenially touring Springsteen and his band from their founding in 1972, through superstardom with "Born to Run" in 1975, the 1984 worldwide hit "Born in the USA" and their marathon 1999-2000 tour. Santelli has been writing about Springsteen and the E Street Band since the early 1970s. He also worked with E Street Band drummer Max Weinberg on his book, The Big Beat, and with Springsteen on his book, Songs. Greetings from E Street is a must for the many fans of The Boss and his band. No CD included.
